Platzdarm took part in the international conference
On May 30th, 2017 in Kharkiv there took place an international conference dedicated to the topic "New security policy for Eastern Europe". It was attended by the representatives of Germany, Bulgaria, Georgia, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, etc. In the program's framework, the participants visited Slovіansk town which one of the first was seized in 2014 by so-called "DPR".
Platzdarm Association of Researchers of Military-Historical Heritage (Union People's Memory NGO) together with the workers of Sloviansk Lore Museum made an excursion for the delegation members. The searchers aquianted the guests with the places of the armed hostilities on the territory of the town and district.
First of all, the guests visited the crash site of the helicopter that was shot down on May 2nd, 2014 in Karpivka village. At the crash site there were carried out search works by volunteers of "Black Tulip" Humanitarian Mission the members of which are the searchers of Platzdarm.
To honor the memory of the victims they came to Grieving angel Memorial Complex which is located near Pryshyb village. Here, on June 6x, 2014 there was shot down the crew of the reconnaissance aircraft An-30B.
The Museum workers shared the facts of this tragic history, and the searchers said directly about their search works which were also carried out by "Black Tulip" at this now a memorable place.
In the end, the participants of the conference visited the regional mental hospital of Sloviansk town. Or rather what was left from it. The hospital was also destroyed during the armed hostilities 2014.
